Alchemist

Class Description

Alchemists are the ultimate support. They use items dropped by defeated enemies (reagents) and mix them with items purchasable in the shop (catalysts) to make a variety of instant-use effects. This class does really well with the *Increased Items Dropped* NPC buff which lets you get extra reagents in each fight. As the Alchemist levels up, it gains skills that make it more resourceful in getting more items and not using fewer when crafting.

Craft Potions

Create effects that hinder enemies and support your allies

Transmute Enemies

Turn low health enemies into items to use in your crafting

Master Status Effects

Control the flow of battle with a breadth of status effects, both helpful and harmful

Class Stack Mechanic - Brainstorm

Using a non-crafting skill gives you a stack of Brainstorm. Getting 3 stacks of Brainstorm allows you to perform any common craft for free as long as you use an Impure or Average Catalyst (catalyst and reagent are not consumed).

Skills - Active

Skill A - Craft Potion

This skill is known at level 1. The bread and butter of the alchemist, this skill lets you combine reagents and catalysts to create a variety of effects. These are divided into 3 categories: Common, Uncommon, and Rare. Common crafts are made with common reagents, items that can be dropped by any enemy in any dungeon. Uncommon crafts are made with uncommon reagents. Each dungeon has a specific uncommon reagent that can be dropped by enemies. Rare crafts are made with rare reagents, items that can be dropped by Bosses. The reagent used determines the effect of the craft, the catalyst used determines the effectiveness of the craft. Both must be used for the craft to work.

To use this skill, type !a on your turn to open the crafting menu. This will show you the quantity of all crafting materials you have.  The streamer can hover over any of the reagent names to get a tooltip with what that item does when used in a craft.  With that menu open, decide what catalyst and reagent combination you want to use, then type !<catalyst letter><reagent letters> <target>. For example, if you wanted to use a Brawny Moss with an Average Catalyst (this would give a 2-turn attack buff to any player), targeting player 1, then you would type   !abm p1  - You could also tag that person in chat instead by typing   !abm @falinere.

To back out of this menu, type !cancel.

Skill B - Healing Salve

To use this skill, type !d e1/e2/e3 etc.

Skill E - Bio

Item Mastery

This skill is learned at level 20. It gives you a chance to recover a catalyst of lesser quality when you make a craft, and can trigger when performing a free craft with Brainstorm. This does nothing when using Impure Catalysts.

Freebie

This skill is learned at level 40.  It gives you a chance to not consume reagents or catalysts when you make a craft.
